The shell's natural purple hues add organic beauty to the piece. Facial features are etched and filled with jet paste, just like the star and elements that adorn her. Turquoise and red coral inlays add more color. The lion's paw shell is named for its resemblance to a lion's paw with ridges and knobs. Red, orange or purple colors are seen in these lovely bivalves.
